Dietitian at Nourishing Minds Nutrition, Megan Perez, is back on the show today! In today’s episode, Megan guides us through a better understanding of what fiber is, sources of fiber in the diet and the health benefits of fiber.

 

Since Megan works with clients on gentle nutrition, especially for her PCOS clients with some degree of insulin resistance; it’s fun to discuss health promoting practices such as adding fiber to your diet! However we still see many clients who come to us consuming too much fiber. We have a lot of people who come to us with digestive concerns such as gas, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, and so with these clients, we always assess their fiber intake. So in this episode we help you understand how much fiber is too much fiber, so you can determine the amount that feels best for you.
